The ATI Radeon HD 2400PRO has a built in HDMI™ with HD audio support for one-plug HDTV connectivity. This unique feature is enabled with an intelligent DVI to HDMI™ adapter. The benefit of this approach is to preserve the traditional dual-DVI-I connectivity (with VGA support) that gamers demand while offering a seamless connection for big-screen HD gaming. No internal SPDIF or other audio cabling is required.

• ArchitectureHyperMemory is AMD's technology for utilizing and managing system memory as an extension to the local video memory. The amount of system memory allocated for use by the graphics chip varies with the amount of system memory available and operating system (OS variants covered in this advisory Windows XP 32-bit edition, and Windows XP 64-bit edition, HyperMemory support under Windows Vista is covered in a separate advisory).
